Raised Walkways

PARS personnel were involved in the design, manufacture and installation of an 85 metre long raised walkways. Included in the layout were three sets of steps to form a ‘flyover’ walkway. The complete system was installed in a week.

The raised walkway comprises 1 metre square bespoke panels with fibre glass mesh flooring which were bolted on top of an existing 800mm wide concrete base. The ‘flyover’ walkway was supported by adjustable legs down onto 300mm square concrete slabs which were placed straight onto the existing ground. Steps and platforms were 1200mm wide. The double handrails were powder coated yellow to suit the customer’s requirements. Frames were galvanised. Because of health and safety restrictions no welding or cutting were allowed on site.
